Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred (experience)
  • Minimum of six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred (experience)
  • Ability to use computer (experience)
  • Prior cleaning experience helpful (experience)
  • Knowledge of materials, equipment, cleaning methods and cleaning chemicals is helpful (experience)
  • Strong customer service skills (experience)
  • Strong communication skills (experience)
  • Strong interpersonal skills (experience)
  • Previous custodial experience in a healthcare environment is preferred (experience)
  • Ability to follow infection control guidelines (experience)
  • Ability to follow safety guidelines (experience)
  • Ability to understand and follow procedural guidelines (experience)
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 40-50lbs (experience)
  • Ability to push/pull up variable weight limits on flat surfaces or up and down ramps (experience)
  • Ability to be on feet for the majority of the shift (experience)
  • Ability to work various hours depending on patient/resident needs (experience)
  • Ability to work overtime, call, backup call, nights, days, weekends, and holidays (depending on location) (experience)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of housekeeping processes, tools, and techniques in a healthcare environment (experience)
  • Ability to maintain a clean and sterile environment for patients/residents and facility staff (experience)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team (experience)
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively (experience)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality (experience)
  • Understanding of health standards and regulations (experience)

  • Wearing proper protective equipment
  • Keeping storage areas well-stocked

  • Assisting in laundry areas as appropriate
  • Responding to pages and requests promptly
  • Reporting any maintenance issues or safety hazards
