Licensed Practical Nurse - Foot and Ankle Clinic at Sanford Health

Role Overview

Sanford Health is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Foot and Ankle Clinic in Fargo, North Dakota. As an LPN in our clinic, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our team of healthcare professionals. Our Foot and Ankle Clinic is a fast-paced, dynamic environment where we see an average of 110 patients per day. We offer a wide range of procedures, from routine ingrown toenail removal to complex total joint replacements. Our diverse patient population includes children, athletes, diabetics with wound care needs, and post-operative patients. As an LPN, you will work closely with a provider and a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to deliver comprehensive care to our patients.

Day in the Life

As an LPN in our Foot and Ankle Clinic, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Rooming patients and obtaining vital signs
  • Preparing patients for examinations and procedures
  • Administering medications as directed by physicians or registered nurses
  • Assisting with wound care and dressing changes
  • Educating patients and families on health conditions, medications, and treatment plans
  • Documenting patient information accurately and completely in electronic health records
  • Maintaining patient rooms in a clean and organized manner
  • Stocking patient rooms with necessary supplies
  • Assisting with procedures ranging from ingrown toenail removal to total joint replacements
  • Providing support to patients of all ages, including children, athletes, and diabetics
