Role Overview

As an LPN or Medical Assistant at Sanford Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients. A Day in the Life

Each day as an LPN or Medical Assistant at the Vermillion Clinic will be different, but here is a general overview of what you can expect:

• Morning: Arrive at the clinic and prepare for the day by reviewing patient schedules and preparing examination rooms.
• Throughout the Day: Collect patient information, including medical history, allergies, and current medications. Take vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure. Administer medications as directed by the provider (if an LPN or certified MA). Assist with procedures, such as wound care, injections, and EKGs. Provide patient education on topics such as medication management, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Afternoon: Document patient information accurately and completely in the electronic medical record (EMR). Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment. Prepare examination rooms for the next day.
