Role Overview

Sanford Health is seeking a board-eligible or board-certified Level 3 imaging cardiologist to join our growing Cardiovascular Institute in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This is an exceptional opportunity to join an integrated cardiology practice within a leading healthcare system. As a member of our team, you will provide comprehensive cardiac care to patients, with a focus on advanced imaging techniques. You will work alongside three general cardiologists, three cardiac electrophysiologists, and three interventional cardiologists, as well as three cardiothoracic vascular surgeons, all within the Sanford Cardiovascular Institute.

A Day in the Life

Your day will be a blend of patient care, imaging interpretation, and collaboration with colleagues. You will:

  • Conduct thorough history and physical examinations of patients with known or suspected cardiovascular disease.
  • Order and interpret a range of cardiac imaging studies, including echocardiograms, nuclear cardiology scans, cardiac CTs, and cardiac MRIs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on imaging findings and clinical assessment.
  • Consult with other physicians regarding complex cardiovascular cases.
  • Perform stress tests and interpret the results.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss patient management strategies.
  • Stay current with the latest advances in cardiac imaging and cardiology.
