Imagine starting your shift in our modern, well-equipped 32-bed Emergency Department. With an average of over 44,000 annual visits, each day presents unique challenges and opportunities. Your day will involve: * **Patient Assessment:** Conducting thorough history and physical examinations to evaluate patients presenting with various medical emergencies. * **Diagnosis and Treatment:** Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, and administering medications and procedures. * **Collaboration:** Working closely with nurses, technicians, hospitalists, and other specialists to provide coordinated care. * **Trauma Care:** Responding to trauma activations and providing immediate care to critically injured patients. * **Documentation:** Accurately documenting patient encounters in the electronic health record. * **Teamwork:** Participating in team huddles to ensure seamless patient flow and communication. * **Continuous Learning:** Engaging in continuing medical education activities to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in emergency medicine. With 24/7 double physician coverage (and triple coverage during peak hours) and APP support, you will have the resources and support you need to provide exceptional care.
