Physician - Family Medicine Opportunity in Valley City, North Dakota

Sanford Health is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Family Medicine physician to join our team in Valley City, North Dakota. Role Overview

As a Family Medicine physician at Sanford Health in Valley City, you will provide comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of illnesses and injuries, managing chronic diseases, and providing preventive care services. You will work in an outpatient clinic setting with inpatient responsibilities at Mercy Hospital, Valley City's community hospital. You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure that your patients receive the best possible care.

A Day in the Life

Your day will typically involve seeing patients in the clinic for scheduled appointments and walk-ins. You will perform physical examinations, take medical histories, order and interpret laboratory tests and imaging studies, prescribe medications, and provide counseling and education to patients. You will also have inpatient responsibilities, which may include admitting patients to the hospital, providing daily care to hospitalized patients, and discharging patients when they are ready to go home. Call responsibilities are shared with other physicians in the practice.

Required Qualifications

  • M.D. or D.O. degree (experience)
