Physician - General Anesthesiology in Fargo, North Dakota

Role Overview

Sanford Health is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible General Anesthesiologist to join our growing team in Fargo, North Dakota. This is an excellent opportunity to practice a wide range of anesthesiology in a Level I Trauma Center and Joint Commission accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center. You will work alongside a dedicated team of 24 anesthesiologists and 80+ CRNAs, providing anesthesia services for approximately 28,000 cases per year across three hospitals.

A Day in the Life

As a General Anesthesiologist at Sanford Health, your day might involve:

  • Performing pre-anesthesia evaluations to assess patient risk factors and develop individualized anesthesia plans.
  • Administering general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care to patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures.
  • Monitoring patients' vital signs and adjusting anesthesia levels to ensure patient safety and comfort.
  • Managing postoperative pain using a variety of techniques, including regional anesthesia and opioid analgesics.

Required Qualifications

  • M.D. or D.O. degree (experience)
  • Successful completion of a hospital-affiliated residency/fellowship of at least 3-4 years’ duration in Anesthesia accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada in the residency. (experience)
