Role Overview

We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible General Surgeon to join our team at the Sanford Watertown Clinic. This is an excellent opportunity to practice a wide scope of general surgery in a supportive and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will be proficient in performing 'bread and butter' surgeries, managing trauma cases, and providing comprehensive surgical care to adolescents and adults.

A Day in the Life

As a General Surgeon at Sanford Watertown Clinic, your day will involve:

  • Performing a variety of surgical procedures, including alimentary tract, abdominal, breast, skin, soft tissue, head and neck, and endocrine system surgeries.
  • Providing pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care to patients.
  • Managing trauma cases and providing emergency surgical care.
  • Collaborating with primary care physicians and OB/GYNs for referrals.
  • Participating in a 1:5 call schedule, including city-wide call.
  • Working a 4.5-day work week.
  • Providing on-call emergent/urgent needs for pediatric and pre-adolescent surgical patients.
  • Maintaining accurate and complete medical records.
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives.
