Role Overview

Sanford Health is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician specializing in Bariatric Medicine to join our Eating Disorders and Weight Management Center in Fargo, ND. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a comprehensive weight loss program that utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to obesity treatment.

As a physician in our center, you will work alongside a team of three physicians, two Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), nutritionists, and RN health coaches. You'll collaborate closely with bariatric surgeons and primary care physicians to provide comprehensive care to patients struggling with eating disorders and weight management issues.

A Day in the Life

Your day will involve a variety of activities, including:

  • Performing history and physical examinations on patients.
  • Evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with eating disorders and weight management issues.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
  • Providing medical management of obesity, including nutrition, physical activity, behavioral modifications, and medication options.
  • Offering individual and group nutritional counseling.
  • Providing health coaching with a registered nurse.
