Neurosurgery Physician Opportunity in Fargo, North Dakota

Sanford Health is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Trauma Neurosurgeon to join our growing and dynamic neurosurgery team in Fargo, North Dakota. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a high-volume, regional referral center with a Level I Trauma Center designation. You will work alongside a team of 10 neurosurgeons and 15 advanced practice providers, serving a large catchment area across North Dakota and Minnesota.

Role Overview

As a Trauma Neurosurgeon at Sanford Health, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive neurosurgical care to patients with a variety of conditions, with a focus on trauma. This includes performing history and physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing and implementing treatment plans, and performing surgical procedures. You will also collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.

A Day in the Life

On a typical day, you may:

  • Evaluate and treat patients in the emergency room with acute neurological injuries.
  • Perform complex neurosurgical procedures, including craniotomies, spinal fusions, and peripheral nerve repairs.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds to discuss patient care with other specialists.
  • Provide consultations to other physicians and healthcare providers.
