Role Overview

As a Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist at Sanford Health, you will provide expert care to women with high-risk pregnancies and fetal complications. A Day in the Life

Your day might begin with reviewing patient charts and preparing for scheduled appointments. You will perform detailed ultrasounds to assess fetal growth and development, conduct amniocentesis or chorionic villus sampling (CVS) for genetic testing, and interpret fetal monitoring data. You will consult with patients and their families, providing education and support regarding their pregnancy and potential complications. You will collaborate with OB/GYN physicians, pediatric cardiologists, and neurosurgeons to coordinate care for complex cases.
