Role Overview

Sanford Health is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Gynecologic Oncologist to join our growing Women's Health practice in Fargo, ND. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and supportive team dedicated to providing comprehensive care to women with gynecologic cancers. You'll work alongside experienced Gyn/Onc partners, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), Ob/Gyns, genetic counselors, CNMs, psychologists, and a dedicated nurse navigator. Our multidisciplinary approach and membership in GOG allows us to provide the latest cancer treatments through clinical research. The program also boasts a robust robotics program along with various education and training opportunities. A Day in the Life

As a Gynecologic Oncologist at Sanford Health, your day will be varied and rewarding. You'll start by reviewing patient charts and preparing for scheduled appointments. These appointments will involve conducting thorough history and physical examinations, evaluating diagnostic tests, and developing individualized treatment plans. You'll perform a range of surgical procedures, from minimally invasive robotic surgeries to complex open procedures. You'll collaborate with medical and radiation oncologists to coordinate chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Throughout the day, you'll educate and counsel patients and their families about their diagnosis, treatment options, and potential side effects. You'll also participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases and ensure coordinated care. Some days may involve outreach clinics in rural communities.
