Role Overview

As a Pediatric Neurologist/Epileptologist at Sanford Health, you will play a crucial role in providing expert neurological care to our youngest patients. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Providing inpatient consultations throughout the 72+ bed Children's Hospital.
• Reading inpatient and outpatient EEGs.
• Participating in the pediatric epilepsy monitoring unit located within the Children’s Hospital.
• Collaborating with a growing team of pediatric specialists.
• Teaching and mentoring medical students and residents.

A Day in the Life

Your typical day might involve:

• Starting with rounds, reviewing overnight EEGs and preparing for consults.
• Consulting on various cases, from seizures to developmental delays, within the Children's Hospital.
• Interpreting EEGs to help diagnose and monitor neurological conditions.
• Collaborating with other pediatric specialists to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
• Teaching medical students and residents, sharing your expertise and passion for pediatric neurology.
• Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases.
