Physician - Pediatric Urology Opportunity in Fargo, North Dakota

Role Overview

Sanford Health is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Urologist to join our growing team in Fargo, North Dakota. This is an excellent opportunity to build your desired pediatric urology practice within a large, integrated health system. You will be joining a team of 5 physicians and 7 APPs, with a large primary care referral base and strong support from urohospitalists. The position offers block time in the OR, research opportunities, and an academic appointment through the University of North Dakota School of Medicine.

A Day in the Life

As a Pediatric Urologist at Sanford Health, your day will be a mix of clinical care, surgical procedures, and administrative tasks. You will see patients with a variety of urological conditions, from congenital anomalies to tumors and trauma. You will perform surgical procedures using open, endoscopic, and minimally invasive techniques. You will also collaborate with other specialists to provide comprehensive care to your patients. A typical day might include: * Morning: Outpatient clinic, seeing patients for consultations and follow-up appointments. * Mid-day: Surgical procedures in the operating room. * Afternoon: Administrative tasks, such as reviewing patient records, writing reports, and attending meetings. * On-call duties as assigned, providing emergency care to patients outside of regular hours.

Required Qualifications

  • M.D. or D.O. degree (experience)
  • Completion of a hospital-affiliated Urology residency program (experience)
  • Completion of a fellowship in Pediatric Urology accredited by the ACGME, AOA, or Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada (experience)
