Physician - Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation in Fargo, ND

Role Overview

Sanford Health is seeking a dedicated and board-certified or board-eligible Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician to join our growing team in Fargo, North Dakota. A Day in the Life

As a PM&R physician at Sanford Health, your day will be diverse and rewarding. You will spend time in both inpatient and outpatient settings, providing consultations, conducting physical examinations, and developing treatment plans. In the outpatient clinic, you will see patients with conditions such as stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, arthritis, and musculoskeletal disorders. In the inpatient acute rehabilitation unit, you will manage patients recovering from a variety of conditions, working closely with therapists, nurses, and case managers to optimize their recovery. Your responsibilities will include: * Conducting thorough patient evaluations, including history and physical examinations. * Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, MRIs, and nerve conduction studies. * Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans. * Prescribing medications and other therapies. * Providing therapeutic injections and other procedures. * Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. * Educating patients and families about their conditions and treatment options. * Documenting patient care accurately and completely. Your typical work schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with a call rotation to ensure 24/7 coverage for inpatient services.
