Physician - Sleep Medicine at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND

Role Overview

Sanford Health is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Sleep Medicine Physician to join our well-established practice in Fargo, North Dakota. This is an excellent opportunity to practice 100% Sleep Medicine or split your time 50/50 between Sleep and your base specialty (Internal Medicine, Pulmonology, or Neurology). You'll be part of a collaborative team with two other physicians and seven advanced practice providers. The sleep clinic and lab are integrated into one location and includes 14 beds to cover outreach.

A Day in the Life

As a Sleep Medicine Physician at Sanford Health, your typical day might include:

  • Evaluating new patients presenting with various sleep disorders.
  • Reviewing and interpreting polysomnograms (PSGs) and other sleep studies (HST, MSLT, MWT).
  • Developing individualized treatment plans based on diagnostic findings.
  • Managing patients with sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy, restless legs syndrome, and other sleep-related conditions.
  • Performing procedures such as CPAP/BiPAP titration, Inspire therapy initiation, and medication management.
  • Consulting with other physicians and healthcare providers.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Documenting patient encounters in the electronic health record.

There is no standard call schedule, allowing for a great work/life balance.

Required Qualifications
