  • Help residents with dressing and undressing and maintaining proper clothing.
  • Assist residents in transferring, repositioning, and walking.
  • Obtain vital signs accurately and report changes in resident health status.
  • Adhere to OSHA and CDC guidelines to minimize infections by following aseptic cleaning techniques, including those that apply to bloodborne pathogens.
  • Demonstrate safe and proper techniques for chemical use, and follow SDS guidelines for any exposure.
  • Assist with preparing and serving nutritious, appealing meals and snacks to residents following orders, standards, and regulations.
  • Fold, hang, and distribute clean linens and personal clothing.
  • Prepare and launder soiled linen/clothing.
  • Clean residents' rooms and bathrooms, work areas, and other public areas.
  • Take part in community involvement in the location and works with volunteers.
  • Document medication administration and any changes in resident condition.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other staff members.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents.
  • Respond to resident calls and requests promptly and courteously.
