As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Long Term Care (LTC) at St. Luke's Village, you will be responsible for providing individualized nursing care to residents, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will collaborate with residents, their families, and other interdisciplinary colleagues to develop and implement care plans. This role requires competency in various nursing skills and adherence to professional standards, ensuring the highest quality of care for residents in all phases of health maintenance and treatment.
Your day will begin with a review of resident charts and updates from the previous shift. You will assess the residents' conditions, administer medications, and perform treatments as prescribed. A significant part of your day will be spent collaborating with the care team, including physicians, therapists, and nursing assistants, to ensure coordinated and effective care. You will also educate residents and their families on health management and preventative care. As a night shift RN, you will monitor residents' vital signs, respond to emergencies, and document all care provided accurately and timely.
