Are you a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse with a passion for pediatric hematology and oncology? Sanford Health is seeking a dedicated RN to join our outstanding team at the Children's Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota. This is an exciting opportunity to provide specialized care to children battling cancer and blood disorders, working in a supportive and rewarding environment.
As an RN Infusion in our Pediatric Hematology Oncology unit, you will be responsible for providing individualized nursing care to patients receiving infusions. This includes assessing patients, administering medications and treatments (including chemotherapy and biotherapy), monitoring for adverse reactions, and providing education to patients and their families. You will collaborate closely with physicians, pharmacists, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our young patients.
Your day will be dynamic and fulfilling. You'll start by reviewing patient charts and preparing for scheduled infusions. You'll greet patients and families, assess their condition, and address any concerns. Throughout the day, you'll administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document your observations. You'll also spend time educating patients and families about their treatment plan and potential side effects. You will utilize your critical thinking skills to address emergent patient care situations.
