The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Inpatient Innovations unit at Sanford Medical Center Fargo plays a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care to a diverse range of medical-surgical patients. Your day as an RN Inpatient on the Innovations unit will be fast-paced and rewarding. You will start your shift by receiving handoff from the previous nurse, reviewing patient charts, and prioritizing your tasks for the day. Throughout the shift, you will conduct patient assessments, administer medications, perform wound care, and monitor vital signs. You will also educate patients and families about their health conditions and treatment plans. A significant part of your day will involve collaborating with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. You'll be using cutting-edge technology to improve patient care, and you will also participate in unit meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. Furthermore, providing emotional support to patients and their families, documenting patient care accurately in electronic health records, and responding to patient emergencies are key components of your daily responsibilities.
