Role Overview

Sanford Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Urology Clinic team in Fargo, North Dakota. This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with no weekends or holidays. A Day in the Life

As a Registered Nurse in the Urology Clinic, your day will be dynamic and patient-focused. You will begin by reviewing the daily schedule and preparing for the day's appointments. Throughout the day, you will: * **Assess Patients:** Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical history, current symptoms, and medication lists. * **Provide Education:** Educate patients on their urological conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques. Answer patient questions and address concerns in a sensitive and informative manner. * **Perform Procedures:** Perform bladder scans, catheter changes, and bladder medication instillations as ordered by the provider. * **Triage Patient Calls:** Respond to patient calls and emails, providing timely and appropriate guidance. Triage urgent requests and escalate to the provider as needed. * **Document Care:** Accurately document all patient interactions and procedures in the electronic medical record (EMR). * **Coordinate Care:** Coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, medical assistants, and other specialists. * **Assist with Procedures:** Assist the urologist with various procedures, both surgical and non-surgical. * **Monitor Patients:** Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition, reporting any changes or concerns to the provider. * **Administer Medications:** Administer medications as prescribed by the provider, ensuring proper dosage and route of administration. * **Maintain a Safe Environment:** Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
