  • Provide adequate assistance and support to delegates to ensure safe, reliable administration of resident care and resolution of care and service concerns.
  • Function within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in state of practice and licensure.
  • Adhere to the Professional Nursing Practice recognizing the Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements as published by the American Nurses Association.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor and document resident vital signs and health status.
  • Respond to resident emergencies and provide necessary interventions.
  • Maintain accurate and complete resident medical records.
  • Participate in resident care conferences and contribute to care planning.
  • Educate residents and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for residents.
  • Follow infection control protocols to prevent the spread of disease.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive resident care.
  • Advocate for resident rights and needs.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident care outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date on current nursing practices and standards.
