  • Perform wound care and other specialized nursing procedures.
  • Educate patients and families about their health conditions, medications, and treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and policies.
  • Delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel as appropriate.
  • Provide supervision and support to delegated staff to ensure safe and effective patient care.
  • Serve as a charge nurse when assigned and oversee the nursing care provided on the unit.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Respond to patient emergencies and provide necessary interventions.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols to prevent the spread of disease.
  • Attend continuing education programs to maintain professional competence.
  • Participate in staff meetings and other organizational activities.
  • Advocate for patients' rights and ensure their dignity and respect.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers.
  • Document all nursing care provided in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
  • Follow established protocols for medication administration, including verifying dosages and routes.
  • Assess patients for pain and implement appropriate pain management strategies.
  • Provide emotional support to patients and families during difficult times.
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other specialists to coordinate patient care.
  • Participate in discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition for patients leaving the facility.
