Sanford Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate TMA (Trained Medication Aide) to join our team on a part-time basis, working evenings and weekends in our Long-Term Care facility in Luverne, Minnesota. As a TMA, you will play a vital role in providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to our residents, under the supervision of a charge nurse. Your responsibilities will include assisting with medication administration, personal care, vital signs monitoring, and creating a positive and supportive environment for our residents.
A typical day for a TMA at Sanford Health involves a variety of tasks focused on ensuring the comfort and well-being of our residents. Your day might begin with assisting residents with their morning routines, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. You'll then assist with meals, ensuring residents receive proper nutrition and hydration. Throughout the day, you'll administer medications as prescribed by physicians, carefully documenting the administration and any observed effects. You'll also monitor residents' vital signs, assist with mobility and transfers, and provide emotional support and companionship. Communication with the charge nurse is crucial, ensuring any changes in condition or concerns are promptly addressed. In addition to direct resident care, you'll also contribute to maintaining a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping and laundry duties.
