Role Overview

The SAP Infrastructure Sr. Engineer (Basis) role at PepsiCo in Hyderabad, Telangana, is a critical position within the global IT team. This senior-level role involves hands-on leadership in SAP upgrades, migrations, and cloud implementations across multiple geographies, including AMESA, APAC, NA, Europe, and LATAM. You will support high-profile projects like the PGT program, ensuring seamless delivery of SAP applications such as S/4HANA, PO, TPM, EP, CARAB, Fiori, ABAP, and Java stacks. As an expert SME, you will collaborate with vendors, global leads, and internal IT partners to build robust SAP environments on platforms like Azure Cloud. Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical solutions for SAP landscapes worldwide. Key duties include managing multiple complex projects, from building new SAP servers to installing and upgrading instances. You will provide comprehensive SAP Basis support, including HA/DR setups, database management across various operating systems, and integration with datacenter operations and networks. Collaboration is key: partner with infrastructure, enterprise architecture, and ITOPS teams to ensure tight integration and adherence to global standards. Lead upgrade and migration efforts, work with customers to resolve issues within SLAs, and drive outstanding customer service. Additionally, implement SAP Cloud Apps and BTP projects while following ITIL processes, SAP Solution Manager, and ChaRM.

Project Leadership

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates need a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent. A minimum of 8+ years of hands-on experience in SAP System Administration is required, along with 2+ years in managing teams or global teams. Preferred expertise includes S/4HANA, PO, TPM, EP, CARAB, Fiori, SAP ABAP and Java stacks, migrations, upgrades, and Azure Cloud. Strong knowledge of databases, operating systems, infrastructure (datacenter ops, networks), HA/DR setups, and business process integrations is essential. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to solve highly complex problems, communicate effectively across all organizational levels, and work flexible hours. Experience with SAP Solution Manager, ChaRM, ITIL, MS Office, and project/production support is highly preferred.
