Role Overview

The SC QC Associate - Food Safety position at PepsiCo's October Plant in Giza, Egypt, is a critical role within our Supply Chain Quality Control team. This full-time position focuses on safeguarding food safety across production, warehousing, and distribution processes. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with international standards such as AIB, FSSC 22000, and NFSA regulations, contributing to PepsiCo's reputation for excellence in the FMCG sector. Key Responsibilities

As an SC QC Associate - Food Safety, your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing internal audits on production areas and warehouses to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Participating in Food Safety, Food Defense, and Hold & Release teams to maintain product integrity.
  • Implementing AIB and FSSC requirements, preparing for annual management review meetings.
  • Following up on the integrated pest management system and enforcing pre-requisite programs.
  • Developing, reviewing, and validating HACCP, food defense, and food fraud studies.
  • Reviewing SOPs impacting food safety, sanitation programs, and PEM activities.
  • Preparing training plans, materials, and exams for site personnel.
  • Controlling MOH spending, investigating incidents, and updating emergency preparedness plans.
  • Preparing the site for AIB, FSSC, and NFSA audits, achieving targets like sustaining FSSC audits without major non-conformities.
  • Conducting cross-audits, distributor audits, and issuing PRs/POs as needed.

Performance Metrics

Success in this role is measured by achieving 100% action plan completion, sustaining AIB targets, FSSC audits, QAS compliance, and NFSA whitelist status. You will review action plans from various departments, address weaknesses, and contribute to external audit preparations.

Qualifications & Requirements

To excel as an SC QC Associate - Food Safety at PepsiCo, candidates must possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Science, Agriculture, Food Technology, or a relevant field.
  • 2-3 years of hands-on experience in Quality Control and Food Safety within the FMCG industry.
  • Very good command of the English language, both written and spoken, for documentation and communication.

Strong knowledge of HACCP, FSSC 22000, AIB standards, and pest management is essential. Familiarity with Egyptian food regulations (NFSA) and auditing skills are highly valued.
