Job Summary:

 

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Customer Project Technical Engineer to join our engineering team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting advanced power system studies, including load flow, short circuit, transient stability, and protection coordination analyses.

 

This role plays a critical part in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of electrical power systems for utility, industrial, and renewable energy clients.

 

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions to our customers. You will be responsible for the technical execution of customer projects, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, Schneider Electric standards, and industry best practices. This role requires strong technical expertise in electrical engineering, project management skills, and a customer-centric mindset.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Perform power system studies using industry-standard software (ETAP and Ecodial).
  • Conduct load flow, short circuit, arc flash, Harmonics Analysis, Relay coordination, motor starting, transient stability analyses, Cable Ampacity and Sizing.
  • Develop and validate system models based on client data and field measurements.
  • Analyze study results and prepare detailed technical reports and recommendations.
  • Support the design and optimization of electrical systems for new and existing facilities.
  • Collaborate with project managers, design engineers, and clients to define study scopes and deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC, NERC, NFPA 70E).
  • Provide technical support during commissioning and troubleshooting of power systems.
  • Lead the technical execution of customer projects from design to delivery, ensuring compliance with specifications, timelines, and budgets.
  • Collaborate with project managers, sales teams, and customers to define technical requirements and propose optimal solutions.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation including single-line diagrams, schematics, layouts, and bills of materials.
  • Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and post-sales phases.
  • Ensure adherence to Schneider Electric’s quality, safety, and sustainability standards.
  • Coordinate with global engineering teams and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Continuously improve engineering processes and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Qualifications:

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in power system analysis or electrical engineering.
  • Experience with simulation tools such as ETAP.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of power system theory and protection schemes.
  • Proficiency in interpreting electrical drawings and single-line diagrams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with renewable energy integration and grid interconnection studies.
  • Familiarity with scripting or automation in Python, MATLAB, or similar tools.
