Group Insurance Manager F/M

Job Description

Your role:

 

Reporting to the VP Risk & Insurance, you will oversee global liability claim management (excluding North America), support the placement of insurance programs and drive risk management initiatives in close partnership with internal and external stakeholders.

 

 

 

Your missions:

  • Manage the liability claim process: notifications, follow‑up and settlement negotiations with insurers, external lawyers and loss adjusters.
  • Provide management information and reporting as required.
  • Review data to identify trends and opportunities for loss improvement.
  • Own the team’s liability claim notification and reporting system.
  • Support placement of the global Liability program and other insurance programs; active member of the captive’s underwriting committee.
  • Advise Legal and commercial teams on insurance clauses in customer/supplier contracts based on claims experience.
  • Manage local French programs (e.g., Personal Accident, Decennial) and lead the insurance workstream for M&A (due diligence, SPA).
  • Collaborate with internal product safety/quality committees and the US claims team.

 

 

Your profile:

  • Legal qualification with strong policy wording expertise (especially liability).
  • Proven experience in liability claims handling and global insurance programs (broker, insurer or in‑house).
  • Fluent in French and English.
  • Able to work independently and within an international team.

 

 

 

Your skills:

  • Detail‑oriented with strong organization and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Analytical mindset, strategic vision and proactivity.
  • Ability to challenge brokers and insurers with tact and diplomacy.
  • Proficiency with office and reporting tools.
