Job Description

Mission:

Join our dynamic Polish Accounting Competency Center team as a IFRS 16 Senior Specialist and be part of shaping our financial future! This role involves coordination with multiple stakeholders, ensuring accurate accounting treatment, and driving process improvements for lease-related transactions.

 

 

Location & commitments:

  • Full-time job
  • Warsaw (office at Konstruktorska street)
  • Hybrid model (2 days per week from office)
  • Hiring manager: Joanna Stepien

 

 

Your IMPACT:

  • Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for Coce team members
  • Manage month-end closing activities related to IFRS 16
  • Oversee Planon system upgrades, bug fixes, and development initiatives
  • Drive process improvements, documentation, and automation for IFRS 16 compliance
  • Collaborate with territories to reinforce local controls and ensure compliance
  • Support integration of acquired businesses into Planon
  • Contribute to quarterly open lines with the global Real Estate community
  • Maintain and manage group auditor relationships for IFRS 16 matters
  • Ensure compliance for delegated and non-delegated entities regarding contract management and Real Estate processes
  • Prepare and review disclosures related to IFRS 16
  • Manage dilapidation provisions and related accounting entries
  • Provide guidance on accounting treatment and advisory for lease-related transactions

Your Profile:

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related fields
  • Strong experience and knowledge of IFRS 16 standards and lease accounting
  • Experience in Record-to-Report processes and month-end closing
  • Familiarity with Planon or similar lease management systems
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to drive process improvements and automation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
