Job Description

  1. The Site Manager / Site In Charge is responsible for the complete execution, management, and administration of Electrical and C&I EPC project activities at the site. The role includes planning, coordination, installation supervision, testing and commissioning, quality and safety compliance, and ensuring delivery as per project specifications and timelines.
    The position requires strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, C&I instruments, PLC/DCS systems, EPC processes, documentation, and customer coordination.Installation supervision for HT/LT panels, Power/distribution trafo, MV/LV capacitors, power/control cables,switchyard, electrical PDB's,& all electrical systems required in power distribution of plant

 

  1. Project Planning & Execution
    •Prepare a detailed site execution plan based on project drawings, engineering inputs, and EPC schedules.
    •Plan and monitor daily/weekly/monthly activities for electrical, instrumentation, cabling, panel installation, and commissioning works.
    •Ensure installation as per electrical standards (IEC/IS), C&I specifications, IO lists, cable schedules, loop drawings, and OEM guidelines.
    •Coordinate with engineering, procurement, HO teams, OEMs, and subcontractors for uninterrupted execution.
    •Resolve technical issues related to electrical distribution, control systems, instrumentation mounting, termination, and calibration.

 

3.Budget & Cost Control
•Ensure site execution activities are carried out within the approved budget.
•Minimize wastage of cables, materials, and consumables; optimize manpower usage.
•Identify opportunities for cost saving in installation and rework avoidance.
•Report and justify any cost variance with mitigation actions.

 

 

4.Quality Management (QA/QC)
•Ensure all installations meet electrical and instrumentation quality standards.
•Conduct inspections for:
•Cable laying & dressing
•Earthing system installation
•Transformer/Panel installation
•Instrument mounting, impulse piping
•Cable termination, ferruling, loop checks
•Ensure compliance with QAP, FAT/SAT procedures, and EPC quality processes.
•Initiate corrective actions for any non conformities.

 

1. Electrical/C&I EPC Project Experience
2. Good Written/Verbal English Communication Skills
3.Skilled in MS Office, MS Project, reporting tools.
4. • Strong expertise in Electrical EPC installation (HT/LT systems, transformers, panels, MCC/PCC, cabling).
• Good knowledge of C&I systems
 • Reading & interpreting SLD, GA drawings, cable schedules, hook-up drawings, loop drawings, IO lists.
• Understanding QA/QC standards, FAT/SAT processes, and EPC documentation.
