Job Description

For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $22.50 to $27.00 hourly.

 

Schneider Electric has a great opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer CO-OP in our Foxboro, Massachusetts facility for Spring of 2026. This on-site position requires the ideal candidate to be located in the general area. This will be a full-time position. No visa sponsorship or relocation will be provided for this role.

As a Manufacturing Engineer CO-OP, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Work with other members of the team to evaluate lean processes by applying Manufacturing Time Definition and Value analysis to identify opportunities for manufacturing operations improvement. 
  • Capture business value through leading continual improvement activities through best-in-class methodologies, such as Kaizen Blitz and A3 problem solving
  • Gain exposure to Schneider Production System framework and methodology to gain skills as a leader in business transformation and change leadership
  • Gain a working understanding of the facility operations through exposure to cross functional teams and projects
  • Apply classroom theory to a real-world application in a manufacturing setting
  • Work independently while partnering with the onsite manufacturing engineers, production personnel, and support staff
  • Work in a fast-paced, fun, and inclusive environment while gaining exposure and experience in manufacturing engineering and project management
  • Drive ownership & accountability to project activities for key team members  

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). 
  • Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is a plus. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  • Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn  
  • Transparent: shares critical information, speaks with honesty, contributes constructively  
  • Focused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committed, and takes initiative  
  • Leadership ability: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborative teamwork  
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced shop floor environment around various machine tools and equipment 
  • Currently local to the Foxboro, MA area and able to work full-time in person
