Schneider Electric | Experienced Data Scientist    

 

AI Core team, part of Core Grid Application division, seeks new team members. The team develops AI-powered components that are expected to make the management of the electrical distribution network more efficient and safe. The team is currently working on developing a chatbot assistant that will support control room operators. Its purpose is to help them understand how the software works, how to efficiently access the supported functionalities, how to effectively troubleshoot issues, and how to utilize the full software potential.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Application Development: Build and integrate applications based on local language models for multilingual and domain-specific use cases using LangChain 
  • Data Preparation: Work with large, complex datasets to ensure quality and relevance for NLP tasks. 
  • Model Fine-Tuning: Tune and use local language models using ML Flow on Azure in systematic way. 
  • Deployment & MLOps: Local deployment of models and applications 
  • Performance Optimization: Continuously improve system accuracy, latency, and scalability. 
  • Collaboration: Partner with software architects, product managers, and business stakeholders to align AI solutions with strategic goals. 
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure adherence to security, privacy, and ethical AI standards. 
  • Deep understanding of vector databases and modern AI architectures, including Small Language Models (SLMs) and Large Language Models (LLMs). 
  • Knowledge of MLOps best practices, including CI/CD for ML pipelines. 
  • Experience with NVIDIA Triton or ONNX GenAI Runtime is a plus. 
  • Fluent in English 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Education: Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or related field is a must.
  • Experience: 
  • 3+ years in data science or machine learning roles. 
  • Strong proficiency in Python, Azure or AWS Machine Learning, and MLflow. 
  • Hands-on experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) and large language models.
