Job Description

For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $98,400 - 147,600 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Schneider Electric also offers a comprehensive benefits package to support our employees, inclusive of medical (with member reward points), dental, vision, and basic life insurance, Benefit Bucks (credits to apply towards your benefits) flexible work arrangements, paid family leaves, 401(k) + match, well-being and recognition (including service anniversary) programs, 12 holidays per year, 15 days of paid time off per year (pro-rated in the first year of employment based on start date), opportunity to purchase company stock (eligibility depends on start date), and military leave benefits.

Schneider Electric has a hybrid (2- 3 days a week from the office) opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst to be based in Nashville, TN, Boston, MA or Dallas, TX.  

 

As a Senior Financial Analyst you will support the U.S. National Sales Force (NSF) of over 600 professionals driving more than $6B in annual revenue. This role is critical in enabling strategic decision-making through budget control, financial reporting and analysis, quota setting, and business partnering with leadership up to VP level. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with excellent communication skills to influence and support business performance.

 

What will you do?

 

Business Partnering & Performance Support

 

  • Collaborate with business partners (including VP level) to achieve financial targets.
  • Partner with Business leaders to drive overall financial performance.
  • Be the main financial point of contact for NSF organization.

Forecasting & Reporting

  • Lead the order forecasting process.
  • Build and monitor monthly forecasts, analyze gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Communicate performance analysis to the Industry Controller using standardized reporting packages.
  • Cost Center Controlling
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis.
  • Oversee order/sales analysis and margin control.

Margin & Profitability Analysis

  • Evaluate gross margin performance, identifying key trends and opportunities.
  • Conduct Gross Margin Analysis of Change (AOC) including volume, price, mix, and productivity.
  • Perform granular product profitability analysis and root cause identification of margin variations.

Financial Reviews & Strategic Recommendations

  • Coordinate financial reviews with LOB management and Industry Controller.
  • Recommend and implement action plans for performance improvement.

Accounting & Compliance

  • Ensure accurate application of financial and accounting policies.
  • Maintain accuracy and validity of the General Ledger.
  • Manage balance sheet and inventory accounts.

Reporting & Decision Support

  • Prepare financial reports to support operational decision-making.
  • Drive forecasting and budgeting processes in collaboration with Supply Chain and other business partners.

Audit & Continuous Improvement

  • Respond to ad-hoc requests from internal and external audit groups.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within Finance and Plant operations.
  • Support project justification, validation, implementation, and control.

Headcount & Capacity Management

  • Monitor headcount, utilization, and capacity to optimize resource allocation.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent.

  • 5+ years Finance Business Partnership work experience. 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact across management levels.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets and identify patterns.

  • Experience with SQL and ERP systems (SAP – Q2C – SMS).

  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.

  • Solid understanding of front office and back office finance principles.
