Job Description

Sales Manager – Didactic Equipment/Education Equipment

 

Role Purpose

We are looking for a Sales Manager to capture this large and niche opportunity in India. The role involves expanding sales of Didactic Products through existing and new Channel Partners across states, while building strong relationships with Government Education Departments and senior decision-makers to influence policy and drive adoption of Schneider Electric solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic engagement with Government Education Departments, State Skill Development Missions, and senior officials to position Schneider Electric as a preferred partner.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies for didactic and technical training equipment.
  • Identify and engage with educational institutions, vocational training centers, and government bodies.
  • Expand reach through channel partners and manage their performance to meet and exceed targets.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and quotations to high-level stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams for project execution and after-sales support.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.

Candidate Profile

  • Electrical/Electronics or Instrumentation Engineer conversant with technologies related to Building Automation, Industrial Automation, or Energy Management systems.
  • Minimum 6–10 years of experience in sales, with at least 4–5 years in concept selling that creates value for customers.
  • Candidates with ~10 years of Pre-Sales experience who are technically strong in Automation Technologies and willing to shift to full-time Sales will also be considered.
  • Experience in the Education segment (working with Universities, Technical Education institutions in Govt. and private sectors) will be an added advantage.
  • Proven ability to engage with senior government officials and education policymakers.
  • Experience in working with Channel Partners, leading and managing them to achieve targets, will be considered an advantage.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of didactic solutions and training systems.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills for high-level government interactions.
  • Ability to work independently and achieve sales targets.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across India.
