Position: Manager / Senior Manager – MMM Segment
Business Unit: Lauritz Knudsen – Electrical & Automation (LK‑EA)
Region: North & East India
Location: Kolkata
Segment: Metals, Minerals & Mining (MMM)

Role Summary

The role is responsible for driving business development, customer engagement, and opportunity creation for LK‑EA’s Electrical & Automation solutions within the Metals, Minerals & Mining segment across the North & East regions. The position focuses on customer connect, product approvals, specification setting, and building a strong enquiry pipeline while gathering relevant market and competitor insights.

Key Responsibilities

Customer & Market Development

  • Connect and re‑establish relationships with all existing and new customers across the designated region, including end users, EPC contractors, and consultants within the Metals, Minerals & Mining segment.
  • Identify, map, and develop new business opportunities in Cement, Metals, Minerals, and Mining industries.
  • Maintain strong customer engagement through regular visits, technical discussions, and relationship-building activities.

Product Approvals & Prescription

  • Drive LK‑EA product approvals with key customers, consultants, EPCs, and influencers.
  • Perform prescription activities by ensuring LK‑EA solutions are included in technical specifications before enquiry/tender release.
  • Support customers with technical presentations, solution positioning, and value-based selling.

Business Growth & Enquiry Pipeline

  • Increase the enquiry pipeline through proactive market mapping and early project identification.
  • Track ongoing and upcoming projects in the North & East regions and influence specification stages.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Design, Application, Factories) to support customer requirements.

Market Intelligence

  • Gather and report critical market insights including competitor activities, pricing trends, customer preferences, and project developments.
  • Provide periodic updates to leadership to support strategic decision-making.

Travel & Site Engagement

  • Travel extensively across North & East India, including remote customer and project sites related to Cement, Metals, Minerals, and Mining industries.
  • Conduct site-level assessments, meetings, and coordination with customer teams.

 

B.E./ B.Tech - Electrical/ Electronics - 7-10 Years of relevant experince
