RESUME AND JOB
PepsiCo
PepsiCo is one of the world's leading food and beverage companies, with a portfolio that includes iconic brands like Pepsi, Lay's, Gatorade, and Quaker. Operating in over 200 countries, PepsiCo employs more than 300,000 people globally and is committed to sustainable growth, innovation, and delivering joy to consumers. In Egypt, PepsiCo plays a vital role in the FMCG sector, supporting local manufacturing and supply chains while fostering economic development. As a leader in integrated business planning (IBP), PepsiCo is rolling out global standards to enhance efficiency across its operations.
The SCP SP Planner (Super User/SMR) role at PepsiCo in New Cairo, Egypt, is pivotal in managing end-to-end finished goods supply planning for manufacturing facilities. This position translates rough cut capacity plans into actionable daily supply plans within a 0-16 week horizon, balancing inventory, waste risks, and distribution. As a key player in the monthly iS&OP cycle, you will lead the Supply Management Review (SMR), ensuring seamless coordination with demand fulfillment and capacity planning teams. This role, recruited through the Global Capability Center (GCC), offers flexibility during process transitions and preparation for the new O9 planning system, making it ideal for supply chain professionals seeking impactful, dynamic responsibilities in a premium FMCG environment.
In this full-time position, you will drive operational excellence through precise planning and collaboration. Core duties include creating constrained capacity production plans that maintain target stock levels for all SKUs, reviewing detailed line scheduling, and projecting inventory and waste with market teams. You will monitor key service metrics, analyze root causes for worst performers, and define action plans alongside Integrated Planning Leads and directors.
As the integration point between markets and GCC, support new product development (NPD) launches and phase-in/phase-out changes by configuring supply planning systems in advance. Communicate updates effectively to scheduling teams. Focus on SMR preparation involves three critical activities: securing data readiness (calendars, production rates, forecasts), performing cycle-over-cycle analysis using Blue-Yonder templates, and leading handover meetings with visuals, scenarios, and decision points. Prepare for O9 system rollout by maintaining robust data inputs and processes.
To excel as SCP SP Planner at PepsiCo, candidates need a university degree, preferably in engineering or logistics, with 3-5 years of experience in material or supply planning. A strong FMCG background is highly preferred, alongside very experienced proficiency in supply planning, including inventory management. Mastery of planning tools like Manugistics or Prolink, ERP systems such as SAP, and advanced Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel) are essential.
Key abilities include strong analytical skills, expertise in planning methodologies and optimization, excellent numeric abilities, and very good collaboration skills for multicultural, geographically dispersed teams. Demonstrated experience in product category planning will set you apart in this Super User role.
PepsiCo offers a premium compensation package for this role, estimated at $18,000-$26,000 USD annually (adjusted for Egypt's Food & Beverage sector with a 5-10% buffer), including performance-based incentives. Enjoy comprehensive health insurance, wellness programs, and family support benefits tailored to Egypt. Additional perks include flexible working arrangements during GCC transitions, subsidized meals, transportation allowances, and access to state-of-the-art facilities in New Cairo.
Professional development is a cornerstone, with training in Blue-Yonder, O9, and global IBP standards, plus opportunities for international rotations within PepsiCo's supply chain network.
This role positions you for rapid advancement in PepsiCo's supply chain hierarchy. As a Super User/SMR specialist, gain exposure to global processes, system migrations, and cross-functional leadership. High performers transition to senior planning roles, capacity strategists, or GCC management positions. PepsiCo's commitment to internal mobility means 70% of leadership roles are filled internally, with mentorship programs and leadership academies accelerating your path to director-level impact.
Join PepsiCo in New Cairo to be at the forefront of supply chain innovation in Egypt's dynamic FMCG market. Work with cutting-edge tools like Blue-Yonder and O9, collaborate across GCC and markets, and contribute to sustainable supply strategies that deliver world-class service. PepsiCo values diversity, inclusion, and employee well-being, offering a supportive culture where your expertise drives real business results. With PepsiCo's global scale and local relevance, this is your chance to build a rewarding career in supply planning excellence.
