Role Overview

The SDET III - Falcon Cloud Security role in Pune, India, positions you as a key leader in the Falcon Cloud Security (FCS) Runtime engineering team. Falcon Cloud Security is a powerful two-component product: a lightweight sensor installed on cloud workloads for real-time threat detection and prevention, and a cloud-based aggregator that correlates telemetry across environments for prioritized threat summaries. This Engineer III SDET role focuses on designing and developing test infrastructure, automated tools, and test suites for sensors running on Linux distros, containerized, and serverless setups. You'll extend Falcon's capabilities for seamless visibility, detection, and prevention in Kubernetes-orchestrated environments, ensuring top-tier quality while contributing to technical designs.

Why This Role Matters

In this full-time position, you'll work closely with distributed development teams to deliver robust end-to-end cloud security. Champion quality outcomes, mentor peers, and drive projects that enhance our Cloud Runtime Sensors—critical for stopping breaches in dynamic cloud landscapes.

  • Mentor engineers, provide technical guidance, troubleshoot complex test and tooling issues, and lead development projects to improve Cloud Security runtime Sensors.
  • Participate in engineering best practices like secure coding, testing paradigms, debugging, performance measurement, code reviews, CI/CD, and OS internals to ensure fast, reliable sensor code.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design and implement test strategies and suites, boosting automated test coverage for better release quality and velocity.
  • Partner with release engineering and multi-functional teams across locations to drive timely, high-quality Cloud Sensor releases.

Qualifications & Requirements

To thrive, bring these essentials:

  • General knowledge of C/C++/Go, Linux user applications, and kernel modules.
  • Ability to design flexible automation testbeds mirroring customer cloud environments.
  • Expertise in product quality strategies: automation, manual testing, performance/scale testing.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for distributed teams.

Bonus Points: eBPF experience in security/networking, cybersecurity knowledge, Windows/Mac OS familiarity, hypervisors/virtualization.

Benefits & Perks

CrowdStrike leads in total rewards:

  • Market-leading compensation and equity awards.
  • Comprehensive physical and mental wellness programs.
