The Security Specialist role in Barcelona, Spain, is a pivotal position within CrowdStrike's Global Security team, championing our 'Security First' mission. As the primary security representative for our Barcelona office, you'll manage physical security, access control, and incident response while supporting executive protection and regional initiatives. This full-time role demands a blend of operational expertise, technical savvy, and crisis leadership to keep CrowdStrikers safe worldwide. With our remote-first culture, you'll collaborate seamlessly with global teams, leveraging the Falcon platform's insights to inform security strategies.
Oversee facility security and access control programs across CrowdStrike locations. Manage and maintain critical systems like Access Control Systems (ACS), Visual Surveillance Systems (VSS), and Intruder Detection Systems. Conduct regular audits to pinpoint risks and drive improvements, ensuring swift issue resolution and compensatory measures. Support event security with travel as needed, and handle visitor screening, badging, and escorts in full compliance with policies.
Train and supervise the security guard force, administer access protocols, and maintain precise databases. Coordinate employee briefings, manage onboarding/offboarding for new hires and contractors, and cultivate a security-conscious culture organization-wide.
Serve as the go-to contact for regional incidents, coordinating accountability and safety during emergencies. Build ties with internal partners, local security networks, and law enforcement. Deliver intelligence assessments to guide travel security and executive protection.
Develop policies, procedures, and standards; generate detailed reports; and collaborate on global initiatives. Your work directly bolsters our mission to stop breaches through proactive physical security.
To excel, you need at least 5 years of experience in global security operations and facility management, with demonstrated expertise in Physical Protection Systems and security technologies. Strong technical aptitude, flexibility for extended hours during crises, and willingness to travel are essential. Bonus points for military/law enforcement backgrounds, certifications like CSMP, CPP, or PSP, a Bachelor’s in security management, security system design experience, First Aid/CPR certification, project management skills, analytical prowess, communication excellence, leadership, and relationship-building.
