Job Description

Hello Visionary!

We empower our people to stay resilient and relevant in a constantly changing world. We’re looking for people who are always searching for creative ways to grow and learn. People who want to make a real impact, now and in the future. Does that sound like you? Then it seems like you’d make a great addition to our vibrant team.

This role is pivotal in transforming complex domain knowledge into structured, actionable semantic models.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong foundation in object-oriented modeling, a keen interest in semantic web technologies, and exceptional communication skills to collaborate effectively with domain experts and other Building X Data Model stakeholders

You’ll make a difference by:

1. Core Technical Expertise

A) Object-Oriented & Semantic Modeling Foundations:

• Proficiency in Object-Oriented Modeling: Deep understanding and practical experience, primarily with UML Class Diagrams.

• Semantic Web Modeling (Willingness to Learn/Experience): A strong willingness to learn and apply OWL/RDF/SHACL for modeling, with existing experience being a significant advantage.

B) Graph Database & Linked Data Technologies

• Graph Databases: Hands-on experience with graph database such as Ontotext GraphDB is desirable.

• RDF & Graph Technologies: Proven ability to work effectively with RDF graphs, including data manipulation and understanding graph structures.

• Linked Data & Formats: Experience in JSON-LD creation and parsing.

• Query Languages: Proficiency in SPARQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation within RDF graphs.

C) Reasoning & Validation:

• Advanced Reasoning: Practical experience with SHACL Rules and expertise in performance tuning of shapes.

• RDF Reasoning: A solid understanding of various RDF reasoning mechanisms, including rules, inference, consistency checks, and the application of OWL reasoners.

• Ontologies: Experience in developing and working with ontologies using OWL and SHACL.

2. Cognitive & Soft Skills.

A) Abstract Thinking & Problem Solving:

• Abstract thinking skills with the ability to translate complex requirements into robust and scalable models that effectively solve specific use cases.

B) Communication & Stakeholder Engagement:

• Very good Communication Skills: Ability to engage effectively with diverse domain experts, extracting and formalizing their intricate knowledge into structured OWL/RDF/SHACL models. This includes active listening, clear articulation, and facilitation.

C) Organizational & Project Management:

• Robust Organizational Skills: Capable of effectively grooming and managing a backlog of modeling tasks, requirements, and defects, ensuring clarity and prioritization.

3. Role-Specific Responsibilities & Contexts.

• Deputy Role: Act as a deputy, supporting and collaborating closely with Nadine. This involves sharing similar skill sets and responsibilities.

• Model Leadership & Quality Assurance:

• Drive Model Development: Take initiative in leading the development and evolution of semantic models.

• Defect Analysis & Resolution: Proactively analyze and resolve defects within the models, ensuring their accuracy, consistency, and performance.

4. Desirable Domain Expertise (Flexible Requirement).

• Domain Expertise: While not strictly mandatory for the deputy role itself (as long as the ability to extract knowledge from experts is present), specific domain expertise relevant to systems and equipment is highly valuable. This helps in understanding the nuances and accelerating the modeling of templates.

You’ll win us over by:

• Having An engineering degree B.E/B.Tech/MCA/M.Tech/M.Sc with good academic record.

• 4-8 Years of Relevant experience
