The Senior Analyst, Application Development and Maintenance role in our Bangalore GCC is pivotal within Cardinal Health's Information Technology function. This position focuses on the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. You will anticipate, plan, and deliver IT solutions that enable operations and drive business value in the healthcare sector.
Application Development & Maintenance involves configuration and coding to develop, enhance, and sustain software systems in cross-functional teams, adhering to design control processes and engineering best practices. Program and configure end-user applications, systems, databases, and websites to meet internal and external business needs. Partner with business leaders, investigate user requirements, and perform regular assessments, maintenance, and enhancements of applications.
In this senior analyst position, you will apply working knowledge of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks. Expect to work on projects of moderate scope and complexity, identifying solutions to technical problems and taking action to resolve them. Exercise judgment within defined parameters, receiving general guidance and detailed instructions on new projects. Your work will be reviewed for sound reasoning and accuracy, ensuring high standards in healthcare IT delivery.
To excel, bring 3-5 years of experience in Java, web, and microservices development. A Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience is required. Proven track record as a Software Engineer or Developer, with experience designing interactive applications. Develop software using Java Spring Boot, SQL & NoSQL databases. Proficiency in web applications with Angular Framework, JavaScript, and CSS. Familiarity with test-driven development, software engineering tools, and documenting requirements and specifications.
Knowledge of event-driven architecture, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and general cloud technologies provides a competitive edge, aligning with our innovative GCC ambitions.
