Key Responsibilities at Datadog

• Design innovative ML solutions by researching and benchmarking state-of-the-art algorithms for Datadog's observability use cases
• Leverage machine learning and statistical techniques to create scalable product features processing petabytes of streaming telemetry data
• Develop, deploy, and monitor ML models and services in production environments running on Kubernetes clusters
• Participate in our Applied AI journal club, reading and presenting cutting-edge academic research papers
• Explore and analyze massive volumes of data flowing through Datadog systems to uncover actionable insights
• Maintain and optimize ML models, microservices, and supporting infrastructure for reliability at scale
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to incubate and launch new AI-powered features
• Participate in on-call rotation to ensure production system reliability and rapid issue resolution
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders including product managers and executives

Qualifications & Requirements

• Advanced Degree: BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, Statistics, or related scientific field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Production ML Experience: Demonstrated expertise building and deploying ML models on high-scale systems and massive datasets
• Data Pipeline Expertise: Experience writing production-grade data pipelines processing streaming and time-series data
• Algorithm Design: Strong background in ML algorithms, statistical modeling, and anomaly detection techniques
• Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex technical concepts and algorithms to diverse audiences
• Code Quality Focus: Passion for writing simple, performant, and maintainable production code
• Product Mindset: Excitement about building user-facing products that solve real customer problems

Salary & Benefits
