Key Responsibilities at MongoDB
- Execute end-to-end US payroll processing ensuring 100% accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance for MongoDB's global workforce.
- Conduct thorough payroll output reviews, investigate discrepancies, and resolve variances before final approval.
- Leverage expertise in US Federal, state, and local tax regulations for precise employee setups and reporting.
- Handle complex payroll transactions like bonuses, retro adjustments, off-cycle payments, and corrections.
- Administer and audit payroll deductions including pre-tax benefits, 401(k) plans, and wage garnishments.
- Act as the go-to payroll inquiry contact for HR, Benefits, Finance, and employees, meeting all SLAs.
- Support payroll reconciliations, audits, and year-end processes with vendors and internal teams.
- Provide backup for Canada and LATAM payroll while identifying process gaps and recommending MongoDB-scale improvements.
- Contribute to system upgrades and testing for payroll platforms integrated with MongoDB's developer ecosystem.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 3+ years US payroll experience in high-volume, complex environments like MongoDB's global operations.
- Deep knowledge of US tax regulations, labor laws, and compliance standards.
- Proven ability to manage complex transactions and resolve issues independently.
- Expertise in pre-tax benefits, garnishments, and payroll accounting.
- Hands-on with ADP, SuccessFactors, and advanced Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis.
- Strong communication skills for cross-timezone collaboration with US stakeholders.
