Key Responsibilities at Datadog

• Build sophisticated high-volume data pipelines that power Revenue Platforms and customer usage analytics
• Leverage Apache Spark, Flink, Luigi, Airflow and cutting-edge open-source technologies for distributed processing
• Work fluidly across the stack using Scala, Java, Python and additional languages to solve complex data challenges

Qualifications & Requirements

• Advanced Degree: BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related scientific field (or equivalent experience)
• Production Experience: Demonstrated success building/operating data pipelines in customer-facing production environments
• Programming Fluency: Proficient in JVM languages (Scala, Java) plus Python and others for data engineering
• Big Data Expertise: Skilled at wrangling petabyte-scale datasets, exploring new sources with Spark/Flink
• Engineering Mindset: Values code simplicity, performance optimization, and clean architecture
