As a Senior Data Scientist at Cardinal Health's AI CoE, you will serve as a thought leader and architect of our AI strategy. You will design and scale sophisticated AI solutions using Machine Learning, Generative AI, and RAG technologies, integrating vast datasets from clinical records, patient demographics, and claims data. Design, implement, and scale AI solutions addressing healthcare business challenges. Develop advanced ML models for forecasting, classification, risk prediction, and more. Leverage Generative AI technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), for summarization, generation, classification, and extraction tasks.
Create robust Retrieval Augmented Generation systems that integrate LLMs with healthcare and business data repositories, ensuring accurate, relevant outputs through embedding models, vector databases, and advanced prompting techniques.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate needs into AI-driven solutions. Champion AI adoption, influence the technology roadmap, and align initiatives with business objectives.
Provide technical guidance to geographically distributed data scientists and ML engineers, fostering innovation, continuous learning, and a collaborative environment.
Drive data-driven decision-making, using AI insights to enhance customer experience and patient care across Cardinal Health.
8-12 years of professional experience, including at least 4 years in data science with a proven track record in developing and deploying complex AI/ML solutions. Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred.
Deep understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, RAG technologies, embedding models, prompting techniques, vector databases, and evaluation methods without ground truth. Hands-on experience building production-ready GenAI applications with RAGs, LLMs, and cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including VertexAI, Cloud Functions, MLFlow, and IAM.
Extensive knowledge of healthcare data (clinical, demographics, claims) and regulations like HIPAA. Proficiency in Python, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and end-to-end ML pipelines from data ingestion to deployment.
Proven ability to lead projects, mentor teams, and communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
