Role Overview

The Senior Director, Opinion Leader Programming (OLP) - HIV Treatment, reports to the Executive Director of Franchise Marketing for the HIV business unit. This strategic leadership role impacts the entire continuum of HIV care, supporting Gilead's flagship $13B HIV portfolio led by Biktarvy. As a key player in marketing, you will drive KOL and account strategies, generate insights, manage high-impact initiatives like speaker bureaus and advisory boards, and foster partnerships across marketing, medical, and sales teams. With significant budget oversight and agency management, this position demands visionary leadership, compliance expertise, and the ability to influence diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

In this pivotal role, you will:

• Contribute to long- and short-term US HIV treatment brand strategies and action plans.
• Partner with the PrEP OLP team for synergies in OL engagement.
• Develop comprehensive OLP strategic and tactical plans.
• Provide oversight for speaker bureaus, advisory boards, conference debriefs, OL database, account management, and OL-generated content.
• Monitor the HIV landscape to identify opportunities supporting brand goals.
• Translate scientific, clinical, and epidemiological insights into commercial actions.
• Build and maintain relationships with KOLs, key accounts, and medical associations.
• Collaborate with treatment, prevention, franchise marketing, medical teams, and sales leadership.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives with high organizational visibility.
• Drive innovation, change management, and compliance in all activities.
• Manage budgets, agency partnerships, and direct reports.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed, candidates must possess:

• Bachelor's Degree with 14 years of experience, OR Master's Degree/PhD with 12 years of experience in marketing or related fields.
• Proven high-performing marketing leadership with vision-setting and team cultivation skills.
• Deep expertise in HIV treatment, insight generation, and KOL management.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration, communication, and change management abilities.
• Experience in budget management, agency partnerships, and regulatory compliance.
• Background in biopharma marketing, preferably with HIV or similar therapeutic areas.

Background Knowledge and Skills

Demonstrated ability to foster new thinking, manage compliance, and deliver presentations to diverse audiences. Proficiency in evolving systems, metrics, and infrastructures for OLP teams.
