We are looking for Vendor Development & Supplier Quality Engineer

You’ll make a difference by

To ensure robust supplier development and maintain high-quality standards across the supply chain by managing vendor onboarding, capability enhancement, and continuous quality improvement.

• Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers based on technical capability, capacity, and compliance.
• Conduct supplier audits for process capability, quality systems, and sustainability.
• Collaborate with design, procurement, and production teams for sourcing decisions.
• Drive localization and cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality.
• Implement and monitor supplier quality assurance plans.
• Review and approve PPAP, APQP, FMEA, and control plans for new and existing parts.
• Conduct process audits and capability studies at supplier locations.
• Investigate and resolve supplier quality issues using root cause analysis and corrective actions (8D methodology).
• Track supplier performance metrics (PPM, defect rates, delivery adherence) and drive continuous improvement.
• Pre-dispatch inspection and release for supplier components.

Desired Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/production/industrial engineering.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (casting, machining, sheet metal)
• Familiarity with quality tools: APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, 8D.
• Experience with ISO 9001
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office.
