Key Responsibilities at Rivian

As a Senior Financial Analyst, Product Development, you'll drive financial excellence in R&D. Key responsibilities include:

• Own headcount, payroll, and subcontractor forecasting: Align with company targets and R&D strategies at cost center, team, and project levels.
• Develop labor models: Incorporate hiring, attrition, merit, bonuses, taxes, and employee costs.
• Analyze variances: Monthly actuals vs. budget/forecast, explaining drivers to leadership.
• Partner cross-functionally: With Corporate FP&A for annual/quarterly planning and long-range scenarios.
• Build scenario models: Evaluate insource/outsourcing, location strategies, and restructures.
• Collaborate on workforce planning: Translate plans into accurate forecasts with HR and Product leaders.
• Maintain headcount truth: Reconcile data across HRIS, TA, and Finance systems.
• Manage subcontractor costs: Forecast, track, and analyze against budgets and SOWs with dashboards.
• Provide insights: On capacity, cost per FTE, location/skill mix for engineering teams.
• Standardize processes: Across ERP and planning platforms to minimize errors.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, or Business; MBA/CPA a plus.
• Experience: 5+ years in financial analysis, 2+ in workforce/R&D costs.
• Technical Skills: Advanced Excel, FP&A tools (Anaplan, Adaptive), ERP (Oracle/SAP), HRIS (Workday).
• Analytical Prowess: Turn workforce data into insights for high-stakes decisions.
