Key Responsibilities at Rivian

As a Senior Global Supply Manager, you'll drive Rivian's supply chain excellence. Key duties include:

• Support development of sourcing strategies by analyzing supply base, market conditions, and technology roadmaps for Closure & Mechanisms.
• Identify potential suppliers, assess capabilities, and develop sourcing roadmaps for Rivian stakeholders.
• Craft and present sourcing recommendations to executive cross-functional leadership.
• Lead negotiations on NDAs, General Terms & Conditions, Production Supply Agreements, and RFQ responses.
• Perform detailed comparative analyses of supplier quotes and cost breakdowns to secure best value.
• Collaborate with Cost Estimating for should-cost models and negotiate competitive market pricing.
• Drive cost reductions on prototype and production vehicles through leveraged negotiations.
• Manage supplier relationships with KPIs for world-class performance and accountability.
• Kickoff POs for production tooling, engineering parts, and track budgets via ECRs.
• Review Engineering, Design & Development costs with leads for best-in-class pricing.
• Manage vehicle budgets with Finance and support Program Management on prototypes and milestones.
• Conduct Supplier Development/Quality audits and maintain internal systems for pricing accuracy.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed as Rivian's Senior Global Supply Manager, you need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering.
• 3-5+ years of relevant procurement experience, ideally in automotive.
• Proven negotiation experience with components like injection molding, stamping, simple/complex assemblies.
• SAP experience for efficient supply chain management.
• Meticulous analytical skills to handle large volumes of complex supplier data accurately.
• Proficient interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
• High attention to detail for specs and high level of integrity to own cross-functional contributions.
