Key Responsibilities

As Senior Manager, Commercial Planning & Operations, your core duties include:

• Leading commercial assessments for internal assets, encompassing market and product evaluations, business case development, and financial modeling to guide strategic decisions.
• Collaborating closely with Local and Global Commercial and Development teams to evaluate and introduce new assets to the China market, drawing on deep therapeutic area knowledge and market insights.
• Mapping and analyzing product portfolios to pinpoint growth opportunities and white spaces for sustained business expansion.
• Working with cross-functional teams—including business units, regulatory, pricing, and market access—and global stakeholders to identify and drive initiatives that boost corporate effectiveness.
• Partnering with business units to spearhead annual business planning, including brand plans, tactical execution, and facilitation of strategic meetings.
• Supporting Launch Readiness Reviews for key product launches, ensuring cross-functional alignment and timely execution with global resources.
• Contributing to the development and alignment of Gilead China's overall Commercial Strategy with Senior Leadership and Global teams.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or healthcare environment; management consulting experience is a plus.
• Proven expertise in new product planning, strategic planning, and business development.
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and project management capabilities, with a track record of implementing healthcare business strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret market trends, intelligence, financial data, and customer needs.
• Experience managing multiple projects under tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
• Integrity, tenacity, resilience, and adaptability in complex situations.
• Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, negotiation, and communication skills, including presenting to senior leadership with compelling storylines.
• High proficiency in written and oral English.
