Role Overview

Join Lululemon's Global Planning team as Senior Manager, Global Merchandise Planning in Vancouver, British Columbia. This pivotal role drives the creation and execution of sales and inventory plans that support Lululemon's overarching business financial objectives and innovative product strategy. The Global Planning team works closely with Merchandising to understand new product trends, regional/climate selling patterns, size trends, and ensures products reach the right Distribution Centres. You'll monitor business performance daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly, reacting to trends to maximize sales, mitigate risk, and protect the guest experience while delivering profitable growth.

A day in the life involves partnering with Global Merchandising to develop financial architecture, global category plans, and drive alignment on Global Line Architecture (Sales, IMU, CC Targets). This Senior Manager role sets the financial framework and strategy for departmental merchandise initiatives.

Key Responsibilities at Lululemon

As Senior Manager, Global Merchandise Planning, you'll lead strategic planning efforts. Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop financial architecture and global category plans by class, activity, and franchise.
  • Partner with Global Merchandising to drive alignment on Global Line Architecture.
  • Build and quantify shell plans and preliminary assortments, incorporating regional input for Global and Regional seasonal strategies.
  • Collaborate effectively with Global and Regional Planning, Sourcing, Production, and the Global Brand Team.
  • Ensure accuracy in global quantification of assortments (vendor allocation units, GVLP units, 24-month Demand Plan).
  • Lead hiring, team/individual development, and departmental execution.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment for resources needed to execute product strategy.
  • Partner on finalizing Seasonal Product Roadmap and Assortment Strategy.
  • Develop showback content for CMO including strategy and directional investment levels.
  • Monitor business trends to maximize sales and mitigate risk.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 7+ years of Planning experience or progressive financial analysis/reporting, with people management.
